Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do I register for individual workshops?
A. There is no pre-registration for Homeschooling Workshops and/or other presentations. All activities are included in the price of general admission. Seating will be first come, first served.
Q. Do I need to be a WHO member to come to the convention?
A. No. But please remember, your WHO membership supports homeschooling in Washington State.
Q. If I become a WHO Member now, can I take advantage of the WHO Member discount?
A. Yes. One day's free admission is one of the benefits of membership, one discount per individual membership.
Q. May I tape a workshop or general assembly?
A. No audio or video recording of workshops, assemblies or keynote speakers will be allowed.
Q. May I bring my children to the classes and workshops?
A. The presentations are designed for adults, and there are no child care or play areas available. Please be aware that parents with noisy children will be asked to leave the presentations out of consideration for the other attendees.
Q. What is the difference between Homeschool Workshops and Exhibitor Classes?
A. Homeschool workshops are sponsored by WHO. The intent of the workshops is to share knowledge
about homeschooling. Exhibitor classes are sponsored by the different curriculum exhibitors and are part of their sales efforts.
Q. What volunteer opportunities are there?
A. The WHO Convention is largely a volunteer effort, and volunteering at the convention is lots of fun! Volunteering at the convention is a good way to support homeschooling. For those who are not WHO members, you may volunteer for 2 hours to receive one day's free general admission, or 4 hours for both days. WHO members receive one day's admission free, but don't let that stop you from volunteering! If you are interested in finding out what volunteer opportunities are avaliable, please contact the WHO office at (425) 251-0439 before June 1st.
